吉林科学技术出版社以编辑出版面向大众生活的科技类图书为主，每年编辑出版新书140余种。所出版的图书分为指导读者科学饮食的烹饪、菜谱类彩色画册和黑白文字图书；引导读者科学健身与防病、治病的医疗保健类医学科普图书及介绍先进养殖和种植技术的专业图书。

目前，已形成规模的丛书、套书有：《CCTV健康之路》、《CCTV天天饮食》系列、《快乐厨房》彩色版系列菜谱、《轻松入厨漫画版》、《自我按摩系列》、《自我按摩与养生系列》、《生活宜忌丛书》、《快乐健康自然疗法》、《健康生活系列—彭铭泉食疗食谱》、《好孩子故事系列》、《犬业科技指导系列》、《外语学习及工具书系列》、《医学基础理论与工具书》等，作为高等学院校共同课教材的《英美概况》、《结构式体育与健康教程》等。

这些图书多次重版，取得了较好的经济效益。《防治非典农民读本》荣获2003年国家图书奖特别奖、《吉林玉米》、《中国鸟类志》等一大批图书荣获吉林省政府优秀图书奖一等奖及吉林省长白山优秀图书奖。

另外，还引进日本、法国及香港、台湾等国家和地区的图书版权，出版了多种生活类图书和工具书，深受读者欢迎，市场销售良好。

吉林科学技术出版社社办期刊有介绍汽车及摩托车的《大众汽车》、引进台湾名牌期刊《空中英语教室》、《大家说英语》、《彭蒙惠英语》，提高会计人员业务水平和能力的《中国会计电算化》等。

Jilin Science&Technology Publishing House was founded in Sep.1984. It publishes the books about Science and Technology that face to the popular life, and produces nearly 140 titles of books every year. The books include the information of scientific sitology of cooking and menu, the books introducing advanced technology for breeding and planting. The popular science books guiding readers to concern their health and disease. Now many series books of wide scope have published, CCTV Health road, CCTV Daily Cooking, Science and Technology Guidance of Dog industry, Learning Foreign Language Books Series, Basic Theory of Medicine and Reference Books, and Survey of Britain and America and Structure Physical and Health Education have been used as teaching material in common basic courses in high academy.

The house has won considerable benefits by republishing the publications many times. The farmers reader about preventing and curing SARS was awarded the special prize of 2003 National Book Award.

By purchasing copyrights from many foreign countries, it has won a good reputation and marketing.

The house runs five titles of magazines. The introduction of autos and motors is Popular Auto, international brand magazines of Studio Classroom, Let’s Talk in English and Advanced have been introduced from Taiwan of China, and China Account Computerized is for accountants to improve their level and abiliy of operation.
